Finally Samsung decided to copy its fellow competitor in the smartphone market, Apple and has started offering same-day repair services for its Galaxy phones from today!
The Android giant announced this on Wednesday that the brand is partnering with an independent electronics repair chain, uBreakiFix for the Samsung Galaxy owners so that they can take their phones to any of the uBreakiFix service locations and get their smartphones repaired on the spot.
uBreakiFix have around 300 service locations present all around the United States at the moment. But, the tech giant has confirmed that they will expand this service in other countries as well throughout the year 2018.
The repair chain offers two options to the Samsung Galaxy users. The first option is the most obvious one, you just drop your phone at the service location and they promise to repair it in two or two and a half hours. The second option is that you schedule an appointment at the uBreakiFix location and get your phone repaired then. They are also offering free repair if your phone is within the warranty period.
The senior vice president of customer care at Samsung Electronics America, Michael Lawder said that “This announcement marks a fundamental shift in our care offerings to consumers and underscores our commitment to provide Samsung customers with support anywhere, anytime our customers need it”
While all the authorized uBreakiFix stores are located in the major areas of the US, the tech giant plans to add about 200 locations by early 2019.
Samsung has also assured its users that the service centers will have all the original Samsung parts and tools for the repairs with pro dealers. Also, they will offer battery replacements, camera repairs and front and rear screen replacements for all the phones from Samsung Galaxy S6 to Samsung new phone Galaxy S9, also the Note 5 and Note 8.
