Google releases updated Android distribution number on monthly basis. It assists us to evaluate the pace and observe exactly how gradually the most recent versions has been taking off to devices. Last month , Android Nougat started to boost, hopping up from 4.9% to 7.1% from April to May. The progress this month remains consistent, with the most recent distribution numbers revealing that Nougat is presently introduced on 9.5% of all active Android devices– a significant 2.4-percent expansion over a month ago’s numbers.

Sharing the latest distribution data of different versions of Android, Google reported that Marshmallow has a total share of 31.2 percent of Android devices that check into Google Play, which is same as that of in May

 

In the recent release, Android Lollipop enjoys a total share of 30.8 percent of active Android devices distributed among version 5.0 and 5.1 as follows.

  1.  5.0 running on 8.2 percent of active devices
  2. 5.1 running on 22.6 percent of active devices

Android Lollipop is running on majority of active Android devices after Marshmallow.

Other version of Android mentioned in the list of latest distribution data includes Android Kitkat with 18.1 percent; Android Jelly Bean has a combined  Android versions listed in the latest distribution data include Android KitKat which is running on 18.1 percent; Android Jelly Bean, combining its three version, has a share of 8.8 percent, while Android 4.0.x or Ice Cream Sandwich and Android Gingerbread (versions included : 2.3.3-2.3.7),  registered a share of 0.8 percent each. Just to point out,  the figures are gathered from devices visiting the Google Play app, which only supports Android version of 2.2 and above.
