Pakistan’s automotive industry has flourished rapidly over the recent years. With imported cars and newer variants of popular vehicles growing in demand, companies like Honda did not miss the opportunity to expand their portfolios. This is a golden opportunity since other companies like Nissan and KIA are planning to launch new vehicles in Pakistan as well.
Honda announced a manual variant for BR-V, the good old crossover SUV in Pakistan, which is expected to go on sale this very month. The outstanding success of Honda BR-V over the last 12 months most definitely outshined its rival, Suzuki Vitara, with a more reasonable price point for a midrange SUV and an excellent performance overall.
Honda BRV was previously available in CVT transmission only. Although there were two variants of BRV, BR-V i-VTEC and BR-V i-VTEC S, both with CVT transmission, the third variant in this lineup might feature a nice manual gearbox.
The updated price list as of now is here:
- Honda BR-V i-VTEC 6MT: Rs. 20,99,000
- Honda BR-V i-VTEC (CVT): Rs. 22,49,000
- Honda BR-V i-VTEC S (CVT): Rs. 23,49,000
When it comes to better quality hardware in locally assembled automobiles, especially in Pakistan, Honda has always stepped one foot above its competitors like Suzuki and Toyota. Honda BR-V features some modern amenities that are not usually seen in locally assembled vehicles. There features include dual air conditioner, keyless entry, ABS and much more!
Given these features, the price point for Honda BR-V is surely justified!
Although many prefer automatic transmission over manual, the comfy CVT gearbox does not please everyone especially those who love them some good old manual shift.
But now, this classic SUV is available in manual gearbox as well! That’s right. This manual gearbox features a 6-speed unit and is paired with Honda’s well-known 1500cc SOHC i-VTEC engine. This is great for those who are on a budget but also want to own a luxury SUV for a great driving experience.
