China has been growing economically in almost every aspect for the last two decades. The world’s largest smartphone market did not face any decline in growth until last year.
According to reports, China’s smartphone market has faced at least 4% decline in sales in the year 2017 for the first time in its eight-year-long growth era. However, Huawei company which ranks as one of the most famous smartphone brands successfully managed to acquire a double-digit growth in the same year.
Although it is safe to say that Apple and Samsung were the only two brands competing for the top rank for the last few years, Chinese brands such as Oppo, Huawei and Vivo managed to make their way into cheaper markets locally and internationally.
By the end of August 2017, Huawei had sold almost as many smartphones as Apple, Counterpoint Research suggested.
