Fully autonomous cars are definitely the next big thing but will this astounding use of virtual reality turn out the way as expected?
Putting on a virtual headset and handing over all the control to your car might seem crazy or down right suicidal but the hype created by this technology is reaching another levels, for all the right reasons.
While sitting in your car you can operate it just by your thoughts and this is something fascinating as well as doubtful.
The question is, how many people will agree on handing over their lives to these driver-less technology cars?
In 2016, a Tesla owner was killed when his car failed to spot a lorry crossing its path. The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) found that Tesla’s Autopilot system was partly to blame, according to BBC news.
National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) found out that the driver only had his hands on the wheel for 25 seconds, in 37 minutes of driving.
Even though, Tesla introduced new safeguards soon after the incident. Which also included, turning off Autopilot and bringing the car to a halt if the driver lets go of the wheel for too long. Still some people find the thought of handing over their lives to technologies, extremely difficult.
All we could do is wait for these cars to come on road and only then we’ll see how many technology lovers will step-in to the modernize form of driving.
