In the world of phones, how could Andy Rubin, the co-founder of Android, stay behind? He was already running successfully with his “Essential phone”. But the time has come when Andy Rubin announced to discontinue the manufacturing of The Essential Phone. Recently the news spread when the phones went ‘out of stock’ on the website. Moreover, the Essential reported they won’t be coming up with anymore. The first notice was taken by Droid Life that the out of stock label is staying up for such a long.

Along with this announcement, the company also confirmed their current working. The Essential phone is going in dark but not the company itself. Essential is now working on a second device, that too is a ‘mobile phone’. And a rumor is spread that this phone will be having high sensitivity of Artificial Intelligence (AI). That will be used to answer emails and messages for the user.

The actual statement given by the company states:

We are sold out of Essential Phone on essential.com and won’t be adding any new inventory. We are now hard at work on our next mobile product and will continue to sell accessories and provide speedy software updates and customer support to our existing community.”

The expectations initially from the Android co-founder were high. But as The Essential phone came into the market, it went down. The rumors regarding data breach, the mistakes, the terrible sales method, combinedly, didn’t give a chance to think about another product.

What’s Different?

Essential left all the negative factors behind, the plan for Essential 2 to be ready for the sale is already up in the company’s mind. Despite the challenges they face, they knew how to overcome the issues. The company worked extensively on their software.

The same updated and swift software are promised to be found in The Essential 2 and we’re sure there are people who are waiting to see the launch.
