“Worlds Collide!” It’s the return of a particularly baffling theme this week in Fortnite: Battle Royale, where we’re once again thinking about Season 5 and just what was going on with that. That’s the name of this week’s Season 10 set of mission challenges, harkening back to a tagline that never really made any sense at the time and certainly doesn’t now. Season 5 was a weird one, with a sort of “summer fun” theme and then something to do with the interdimensional conflict that was never really all that clear. Oh well: these are our Season 10, Week 3 challenges, and we’ll make the most of them.
There’s nothing all that interesting in this list, which is a bit of shame coming off of the fun, island-hopping adventures from last week’s challenges. As usual, the full list has been leaked in advance by the intrepid Fortnite data mining community, giving us a hint of what’s to come as we move through the list. Let’s take a look, and be on the lookout for a prestige guide soon:
- Use a Rift
- Visit a Rift Zone
- Deal damage to opponents at a mountain top Viking Village or Loot Lake
- Visit a memorial to a cube in the desert or by a lake
- Eliminate opponents in the desert
- Search chests at Loot Lake
- Consume foraged mushrooms
And let’s get to solving them:
Visit a Rift Zone: There are currently two Rift Zones on the map, at Tilted Town and Retail Row. There will likely be more as the season progresses, but this is easy regardless.
Deal Damage to opponents at a mountain top Viking Village or Loot Lake: Loot Lake is probably a better bet for this one, as there’s typically a lot more action there than up on top of that mountain. If you want to spend some time-fighting at Viking Village, however, this is a good week for it.
Eliminate opponents in the desert: This is a lot easier than the usual, location-specific elimination challenges because you’ve got the whole desert to work with. Team Rumble is still the best way to go.
Search chests at Loot Lake: There are a good number of chest locations at Loot Lake, so this shouldn’t be a problem.
Consume foraged mushrooms: The best spot for this is in the northwest, in the woods by Haunted Hills and Pleasant Park, though there are also a bunch in Lonely Lodge. Mushrooms grow in various areas, but this is the one I usually go-to for them. Look for little blue caps sticking up.
