Huawei is expecting a 40-60% drop in its international sales as the Trumps blacklisting hammers is one of the Chinese tech giants most important business. Chinas biggest industry is crunching numbers and exploring options including pulling the latest model of its marquees overseas label. People in the industry say that executives are monitoring the Honor 20 launch and may cut off shipment if it sells poorly. Two France carriers aren’t already bothering with the model at all.

The US blacklisted Huawei in May choking off the American components and software it needs to run its business. That includes updates for the google android system that powers all its smartphones abroad. Without this software Honor won’t be able to run critical apps like Google Maps and Gmail which will become problematic.
