The iPhone liquid filled glitter cases have caused chemical burns and skin irritation to at least 24 people.
This news came into notice when a company “Mixban” recalled the burn incidents due to these liquid-glitter cases on Tuesday.
“There have been 24 reports worldwide of skin irritation or chemical burns, including 19 in the U.S,” the company said in a statement. “One consumer reported permanent scarring from a chemical burn and another consumer reported chemical burns and swelling to her leg, face, neck, chest, upper body, and hands.”
These cases were sold at MixBin, Victoria’s Secret, Amazon, Henri Bendel, Tory Burch, and Nordstrom Rack, ranging from $15 to $65.
People have been talking about this over the internet since last year but the growing number of burning cases just got it viral now.
