Mind-blowing catches, easy drops, exceptional bowling, outstanding batting and super-over; last night we witnessed one of the best matches of PSL 2018.

Here’s the top news straight from the cricket world. The 24th fixture of Pakistan super league was one exciting day. Karachi King’s match against Lahore Qalandars had all the factors of a thriller movie. Excitement, confusion, unpredictability and entertainment made the last night’s match, one of the best matches in PSL 2018 so far.

If only Qalandars played like this before:

The Lahore Qalandars team, led by the great player; Brendon McCullum gained popularity for all the wrong reasons, throughout the league.

Even though big names were part of the team but the team couldn’t manage to win the number of matches which were needed in order to qualify the power play round.

But, yesterday’s match was one of the rare matches in which the team performed exceptionally well. It was almost impossible to believe the closing of the match.

Lahore Qalandars had won the toss and chose to field first:

Lahore Qalandars’ Captain; Bredon Mccallum chose to field first after winning the toss, which was a peculiar choice.

Soon his decision to go different proved to be wrong when Lendl Simmons from Karachi Kings scored three 4s in the opening over by Anton Devich.

On the other hand, Joe Denly; Karachi King’s top order batsman that played 78-run knock out in his Karachi Kings match against Multan Sultan, became an easy prey to Yasir Shah’s bowling.

Like we said, easiest catches were dropped by Lahore Qalandar’s side that favoured the Kings.

Yasir Shah was all set to hunt Babar Azam on the very next ball but the young Shaheen Shah Afridi dropped the catch and chance of sending Babar back to the pavilion.

Karachi Kings managed to encounter some tight overs by Sunil Narine and McClenaghan and scored more than 85 runs after 10 overs.

Game changer; Super over:

It’s impossible to state the excitement and confusion audience were going through when last winning catch by Karachi Kings was taken back!

Celebrations stopped and so did the heartbeat of Karachi Kings’ supporters were left in utter confusion until the empires announced about the super-over.

As exciting as it was to witness super-over, Qalandars managed to score more-than-decent runs in six balls. And with its amazing fielding, Lahore won the super over and match against Karachi Kings, superbly.
