The Hollywood actress attempted to sue the video game makers for ‘portraying a character which was based on her’.
The Lindsay Lohan’s case was one of its own types.
While the game, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, doesn’t require any introduction, the actress might be needing it in few years.
Lindsay Lohan: The Mean Girl actress stirs controversies every now and then
In an attempt to sue the video game makers, Lindsay found herself in controversy, yet again.
I’ve seen the actress on my newsfeed under headlines like, ‘Lindsay Lohan accepted Islam’ or ‘Lindsay Lohan seen in Hijab’ or ‘Lindsay Lohan didn’t accept Islam’. But this time, the actress had different headliners for a change.
The renowned video game, Grand Theft Auto Vice City portrays certain characters which have no connection with any real-life person. And Telenews isn’t claiming it only, but the six judges present at the New York’s top court believes it so too.
The panel of six judges at New York Court rejected Lohan’s charges against the video game makers:
In 2014, the actress sued the Rockstar Games for invading her privacy.
Lindsay Lohan claimed that the worldwide famous and largely played game tried to invade her privacy by creating the character of Lacey Jones. She claimed that the character not only looked like her but had a similar sounding voice and wore clothes that resembled her own clothing line.
The court not only rejected her claims but said that a character merely looked like Lindsay Lohan.
[The] artistic renderings are indistinct, satirical representations of the style, look and persona of a modern, beach-going young woman… that is not recognisable as plaintiff,” Judge Eugene Fahey wrote in his ruling.
The court also rejected a similar claim that another GTA V character was based on the reality TV star Karen Gravano.
