RED is in the spotlight for soon launching its first smartphone, The Hydrogen One.
The company hasn’t disclosed all the related details of its upcoming majestic smartphone, but we do have some important information provided by famous render. The phone is going to have some high-end camera tools and a 5.7-inch holographic screen that will display images in a 3D-like effect.
“There is no good way to describe it until you see it.” Jim Jannard, RED Co-founder said. “Our display is the technology you haven’t seen before. It is not lenticular, which is an inferior tech in every way, has been tried many times before and failed for good reason. (see Amazon 3D Fire, LG Optimus, etc).” He said earlier this month.
“The future of personal communication, information gathering, holographic multi view, 2D, 3D, AR/VR/MR and image capture just changed forever,” RED says.
RED is yet to launch its first teaser but it gave YouTube best tech reviewer Marques Brownlee (aka MKBHD) an opportunity to have a clearer look at the Hydrogen One prototype.
The phone will launch in 2018 and cost $1,200 but its preorders start at $1,195.
