Mark Zuckerberg has rolled out “the most accessible VR headset” at the Oculus Connect 4 Keynote event happened in San Jose on Wednesday.
It costs just $199 as compared to the highly expensive $600 Oculus Rift. At cheap prices, the Oculus Go will only let you spin around while in virtual reality.
The VR Headset will hit the markets next year but its dev kits will be available by November.
“hands-down the easiest way for developers to get involved with VR,” said Hugo Bara, Facebook’s Vice President of Virtual Reality.
The Oculus Go comes with a “fast-switch” WQHD LCD screen, wide-field lenses, and spatial audio. It is lightweight and “feels incredibly soft to wear,” Barra said.
Let’s see whether it will rock the VR world or not.
