The flagship smartphone, OnePlus 5 has become the talk of the town since its release. But the flagship experience is seriously affected by the recent reportings of its ‘Jelly-Like’ scrolling effect.
OnePlus 5 users are reporting scrolling issues since its release, and they have taken it to the OnePlus 5 forum as well as Reddit. According to their claims on Reddit and other social sites, they encounter the visual effect of compressing and stretching of the screen as they flip through it in the vertical direction.
Not every OnePlus 5 user is being encountered with the issue, but the ones experiencing are affected by different levels of compression.
It seems that the company has taken the issue into the account. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer told XDA Developers to find out the root cause of such behaviour on certain phones. In a statement to The Verge regarding the ‘wobbling effect’ issue, the company says that the subtle visual effect is natural and not an issue:
“The OnePlus 5 uses the same level of high-quality components as all OnePlus devices, including the AMOLED display. We’ve received feedback from a small number of users saying that at times they notice a subtle visual effect when scrolling. This is natural and there’s no variance in screens between devices.”
It is not the first time OnePlus users have faced touch screen issues. Previously, 3 and 3T users have raised their concern regarding touch latency issues.
OnePlus 5 is the best Android phones you can buy at the moment under an appealing price tag. However, the latest screen bugs might hinder creating the company’s brand image, which has been created when it was first released, and people might give their purchase-decision a second thought.
