Panasonic released a new 4G VoLTE smartphone in India on Wednesday. Named Eluga I2 Activ, the smartphone is available in 2GB RAM and 1GB RAM variants, priced at Rs 7,990 and Rs 7,190 respectively. The Eluga I2 Activ will be available in Gold, Rose Gold, and Gray colors.
The Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ comes with a 5-inch HD display. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The smartphone comes with 16GB of ROM with expandable storage support up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Eluga I2 Activ sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro USB 2.0. A 2,200mAh battery, powers the smartphone.
The Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ will be competing against Xiaomi’s Redmi 4A, which is priced at Rs 5,999. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with a 5-inch HD display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB of storage and supports expandable storage up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. The smartphone is powered by a 3120mAh battery.
