Takht-i-Bahi (Mardan)

Meaning of Takht-i-Bahi?

People who inhabit nearby believe that this place got its name from two wells on the hill or springs. In Persian, Takht means “top” or “throne” while Bahi means “spring” or “water“. When combined together the meaning is “Spring from the Top or High Spring”.  An enchanting place, surrounded by hills, the temperature there is often low.

People visit this place in the last days of their lives. On top of hills, it escaped from ruination and it is well preserved as states historians. But it is now slowly reaching decrepitude due to the government neglect and vandalism.
