OnePlus is reported to uncover its next flagship smartphone on June 20th.
We don’t have many insights about the guts of the telephone, other than the way that it’ll have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor. We additionally know OnePlus is working with DxO to upgrade camera execution.
The main genuine contrast between the two cell phones is the position of the home and volume keys. While the iPhone has the power key on the right side, and the volume keys on the left, the OnePlus has got these onreverse sides. Both phones do offer a mute switch of sorts which can be found on the left half of the gadgets.
Other than that, the phone is rumored to be smaller, and more compact than the OnePlus 3T. It is conjectured to feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, powered by Snapdragon 835, paired with 6GB RAM, and offering 64GB/128GB storage option. It is also expected to feature a bigger 3600mAh battery along with Dash Charge 2.0, and operate on Android Nougat.
This isn’t the first time that a company has come up with a product that looked identical to some gadget from Apple. Back in 2015, HTC announced the One A9 that resembled a lot to the iPhone 6 except that its camera bump was located in the middle of the phone instead of on the side. And last year, HP released the Core M Elitebook Folio that appeared quite identical to the 12-inch Macbook.
We will just have to wait to see if Apple sends OnePlus a cease and desist letter for imitating its iPhone’s design.
I wish we had more to share, but alas, this is all we got for. I have a feeling that we’ll most likely observe more subtle elements spill out in the weeks to come, however for the present, we can tell OnePlus is definitely opting for the iPhone look.
