2016 was not a good year for Samsung. Things were good earlier but quickly went down with its Galaxy Note 7, which had been recalled twice due to reported explosions.
Samsung dusted itself this year and stood out with the Samsung S8 and S8 Plus, which were certainly successful. Then, they further improved their reputation with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and it was certainly a comeback device for Samsung. Though it didn’t generate as many sales as the iPhone X, it is still considered one of the best smartphones.
The Korean tech giant is expected to remain to stun the customers in 2018 as well, and it’s possible they could overtake Apple as the most successful company in 2018. According to Forbes, the up-and-coming will sport even thinner bezel than the Galaxy S8, a dual camera setup, a fingerprint scanner that’s not expected to placed directly next to the camera, and it will likely feature the same screen resolution as the S8.
However, according to BGR, the upcoming flagship, Galaxy S9 may have three variants. One would be the regular S9, the other S9+, and the company will also launch a 5-inch mini variant of its new handset. And there is a lot of excitement for the Galaxy S9 on Twitter.

Ten, there’s also the Galaxy Note 8, as per the tradition, which is likely to be launched late next summer. There are no such details about this one yet, but it is certainly highly anticipated.
Besides innovation scheduled for the next year, Samsung could also launch a standalone VR device that doesn’t use a phone as its screen. The Korean giant is also rumoured to launch a folding device. Whatsoever Samsung comes up with, expect a lot of excitement and hype.
