Ever-reliable leaker, Evan Blass suggests that the upcoming Huawei P11 could sport a unique camera setup. In a tweeted post, earlier today, it was suggested that the next smartphone in Huawei’s P series could sport a triple-lens, 40 MP rear camera setup with 5x hybrid zoom and a 24 MP selfie camera.
The latest rumour is based on pictures from a digital artist working for “one of [Huawei’s] creative agencies,” which also unveil that the camera may be again co-engineered with Leica.
Is the next Huawei P-series going to be an imaging powerhouse? A digital artist at one of the company’s creative agencies added these “PCE Series” ads to their portfolio — claiming 40MP, 3 lens rear (5x hybrid zoom) + 24MP selfie, all Leica-co-developed. pic.twitter.com/t8w3VlL55L

Now here is the twist: Blass says the pictures have now been removed from the original source, which is generally an indication that the rumour is legit.
Huawei is known for early adopting the recent dual-camera setup trend, first introducing the setup in its P9 back in 2016, This camera was also co-engineered with Leica, who Huawei has partnered for most of its flagships’ camera tech.
Huawei launched the P10 back in February 2016, so we can expect P11 to be launched sometime in the first quarter of 2018.
