Samsung is working on an updated version of Samsung’s massive 49-inch desktop monitor. As CES 2019 is coming closer, companies are moving towards new and updated gadgets. This previously famous model, known as CHG90 had 3840 x 1080 resolution. It was equal to two 16:9, 1920 x 1080 displays mixed together.
But what Samsung is working now on is a mixture of two 2560 x 1440 QHD screens together. It will be the CRG9 with 5120 x 1440 resolution display. It will further have a QHD with 32:9 aspect ratio.
Samsung is not the first in the market to come up with this size and these features, Philips and Dell are already gone forward in this direction. But it’s better for the company to stay updated with the competitors.
Gaming is the Main Purpose!
The previously manufactured CHG90 and the updated CRG9, both will fulfill the same purpose. These 49-inch displays are made for gaming purpose. Since CRG9 is new, it has more focus on the features. It will be having a 120Hz refresh rate 4ms response time, and AMD’s Radeon FreeSync 2 technology. The reason why this display is updated is to give a real feel. Because that’s what a gamer aims for.
The specifications Samsung is giving includes HDR10 support, an HDMI Port, a USB jack and two Display Ports.
Another Release of 32-Inch Monitor:
Samsung is releasing another curved 32-inch monitor, the UR59C. It will have a 2,500:1 contrast ratio and a full 3840 × 2160 4K resolution. It is more into the business of content creation instead of gaming. It gives a professional look over an informal gaming image. And Samsung claims this to be the first in the industry.
Samsung has not reportedly announced the estimated price or release date of any of these displays. Yet the confusions are expected to be clear in CES 2019 that is not far away at all.
